About Me
My name is John Stefan Sahlin — internationally known as John S. I am a Swedish entrepreneur, producer, and global brand builder with more than 25 years of experience across media, events, hospitality, F&B, and tourism technology.
After beginning my career in Swedish television in 2000, I spent the next two decades building businesses, producing major events, and launching brands across Sweden and Thailand.
Today, I am the Founder & CEO of Hello Explorer, a global travel-tech platform, and Action a fitness & lifestyle brand.
Together with my family, I travel the world full-time, helping people and businesses unlock growth, adventure, and new opportunities.

Founds Showbolaget
A showbiz production and booking agency managing celebrities and producing live shows across Sweden. Grown fast, then sold.
Smart Delivery & Thaimiddag
Launches a large-scale direct-marketing firm and, the same year, founds Thaimiddag — a Stockholm Thai food brand still trading today.
Bangkok Bistro & beyond
Returns to F&B with Bangkok Bistro, a night club, and mall venues. At its peak the group runs 100+ staff and supplies supermarkets nationwide.
Surviving the pandemic
COVID-19 forces closures and restructuring. The larger group is lost, but Thaimiddag is saved — the crisis becomes a launchpad for what comes next.
Hello Business Club
A networking platform across Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao — monthly meetups connecting entrepreneurs and local leaders.
Hello Explorer launches
A global travel-guide app — “Where to go & What to do” — debuted through the first large-scale Explorer Expo at Central Samui.
Worldwide expansion
Hello Explorer enters its global phase across ten countries, paired with a family world tour of partnerships and collaborations.
